This was the only book that ever made me cry. I don't usually feel so touched till I cry because of TV shows or books, but this one is really good. The movie is no where near it.

It's really inspiring. I know what I want to do because of this book.

3. Twice Upon a Time: Rapunzel, the one with all the hair
I know it sounds kinda childish, by I still re-read it from time to time. There's something special about it, funny, witty and awesome :) by the way, it's nothing like the good old fairy tale, it's like a remix.

It's the ultimate book for all the sadistic people out there, but I admire the author for daring to remember all that torture.

Peepos I'm back :)
non-OBSers camp was very much of a concentration camp.
Well, not exactly. Sigh it's hard to describe.
On the first day we helped out with the sec2s amazing race in the morning, and slacked away the whole afternoon after lunch. That includes lots of junk food gorging, playing monopoly deal and chatting. Second day was the concentration camp part. We helped out at the sec1s amazing race from 9am to 4pm, then we had to go help the sec2s at their BBQ and campfire. Actually, the BBQ part was fun cos I ended up being served :) hahaha my juniors kept barbecuing the food for me to eat, and then I was like "if I die from eating stuff you people cooked you better remember that you once had this awesome senior" hoho cute bunch of people :)
On a side note, I must admit that this camp gave me the opportunity to see many things from a different perspective. Not from the perspective of a participant, but that of an organizer, so there were many things to learn about :) I feel as if I can organize a whole camp by myself now! ^^
On top of all that, the best part was of course making many new friends :D

Ahhh. It's chinese new year again :)
The pineapple tarts are particularly nice this year, and I set an all time high record of eating 11 of them in a day :) up from last year's high score of 7. And the best thing is that I've only grown 0.3kg since the first day of Chinese new year ^^ haha I wonder what happened to all that butter and sugar and flour. And then there are cashew nut cookies, my all time favorite! I have deluded myself into thinking that they are more healthy than pineapple tarts, so I'm eating them like staple food now.

4. Sleeping in the YQ room, though we nearly froze to death cos of the aircon
5. Talking to Yuka and Rachel with the rest of the peas till its 12.30am
6. Laughing with Shawn till my cheek bones hurt and I can't sleep till 1.30am
7. Saying HI~~~ to Yushan and giving her the bimbo look ^^
8. Staring at the 4kg chocolate cake and waiting for the genie to pop out (NOT)
9. Cutting the cake :) though my arm kinda ached after that cos the 4kg cake came up to more than 100 slices
10. Being with the peas for 3 days straight <3

I'm finally back! After so many days away from home :O Okay I shall talk about
Munich and Stuttgart first, then I'll start highing about NYCO Camp <3

When I arrived at the Munich airport on the first day, I seriously thought I was in heaven. Literally and figuratively. There was this supermarket in the airport, and with about 20 Euros you could probably buy enough chocolate to last you a year. Really! They had all sorts of brands like Milka, Ritter Sport and Lindtt, but most importantly, they were freaking cheap!!! One box of yoghurette chocolates cost 2.40Euros there (about $4.80) while in singapore you have to pay $14.90 for the same thing. Damn candy empire has been cheating me off my money D:<
Okay then we checked into the hotel and went to the christmas market :) pretty exciting to see it for the first time, and the stuff they sold were quite interesting too, you can't find such stuff here in singapore. But actually the only thing I remember about the christmas market was the FOOD :D They had nice christmas food like caramelized nuts, potato pancakes, chocolate coated gingerbread and chocolate coated strawberries :DDD
For the next few days we just shopped around in the Marienplatz town area, and ate lotsa bacon and eggs for breakfast everyday. Yuck. We also went to this gigantic science and technology museum, which is probably as big as vivo city, and a toy museum that totally cheated us off our money. For God's sake it is only as big as the living room in my house! It had so little stuff and we paid 3 Euros for each ticket -.-

After 4 days in Munich, we took a train to Stuttgart :) Its colder than Munich but it had beautiful scenery ^^ we stayed at a hotel beside a lake and it was so pretty >.< The next day we went around the munich town area, and went to more christmas markets, though I started to find them pretty boring o.o On the snowy morning we drove back to munich, and stop at King Ludwig's castle on the way there. The castle is freaking pretty inside ok. And all the furniture and stuff inside were from centuries ago, awesome. But all the fabric and cushions were like rotting away if you stared closely enough (cos we weren't allowed to touch anything) .

Then it was back to Munich and to the airport after one last night at a horrendous hotel. Went to the airport and bought 80 Euros worth of chocolate :DDD Reached Singapore at about 8.30am and chiong home to pack my stuff for NYCO Comm Camp and CO camp. Jetlag was D:

The Berliner Philharmoniker was ________.
I can't find a word good enough to fill up that blank.
They bring you into a world of magic the moment you step into the concert hall at Esplanade. Just listening to them tune is enough to captivate you. Mahler's Symphony No. 1 was great, and somehow it didn't feel like it actually lasted one hour. I really enjoyed the little stunt at the ending, put up by the accompanying timpanist. I hope I wasn't the only one who saw that swift movement ;D Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances was really unique. I've heard another orchestra play it before, but it is simply just not "ordinary" when being placed in Sir Simon Rattle's hands.
It is a "concert" that I will remember for the rest of my life. It is indeed the World's Best Orchestra :)

Now I shall start gloating about it again. The fact that someone is going to be paying $680 (plus $3 sistic fee LOL) to sit at the seat I sat at just this morning. HAHAHA. Open Rehearsal, Entry by Invitation Only. Yay, I feel loved ^^

Snap back to reality, and out of the magical musical world. I am freaking busy this week D:

I'm still begging my parents to take me to berlin to see the Berliner Philharmoniker in their concert hall. I mean like, we're not on a tour or anything so whats so difficult about that?? Hmph. Besides, the berlin philharmonic orchestra is world number 2!

But never mind. I'll be watching them next monday and tuesday at the esplanade :D and don't get me wrong, I didn't pay $680 for a ticket!! Worst concert i've ever been to.
The soloists were good but the combined ensemble pieces were horrendous. Most of the songs started out fine but somehow they always start falling apart in the middle, and all the sections started playing their own stuff, and all you could hear was noise, not music.
Seriously. She would be better off as a model rather than a conductor, wearing four inches even when she's probably past 50 years old already.

Went to buy a pair of ECCO boots at Paragon just now ;)
They're super cool and awesome, so much that when i was done trying it and waiting for my mum to come back to pay for it, a lady came up to me and said "hey where did you get that from?" "Its the last pair here." And she immediately went "Do you want it? if not I'm gonna buy it." Upon hearing that i wanted to give a notorious smirk and laugh at her. But I decided it was too mean since I didn't even know her. So i just said "Sorry, i'm buying it so you can try other outlets." HAHA XD I saved about $50 cos there was a 20% discount storewide. Awesomeness. I shall wear it in Germany

Went to see the Pompeii: Life in a Roman Town 79CE Exhibition at the National Museum today. It was really insightful, to see how something which was alive 2000 years ago is still here, right in front of you.

The highlight of the exhibition was the resin casts of people and animals excavated from the ruins of Pompeii. If you havent seen it, let me tell you what it looks like. Imagine yourself crouched on the floor, then someone poors cement over you. The cement hardens and you are still there 2000 years later, the only difference is that the gray cement has now turned in a dull yellowish and disgusting colour. Those resin casts were simply made of the remains of the victims' bones, flesh, and clothes, all coated in volcanic ash. Thinking about it now makes me wanna cry.

I am still alive and kicking after eoys ;) I'm so proud of myself *hint of sarcasm*
Today's post-eoy pig out session was nothing but awesome :D
I think the SeoulGarden has put ws, cherylO and me on the black name list HAHAHA.
Seriously I think we used up every bit of the $11.99++ we paid for the student meal.
LOL. We sat there from 11.30am (when the lunch buffet started) till 2.30pm and ate, ate, ate and ate somemore.
Well, of course that includes short intervals in between when we took turns walking around bugis junction looking for a toilet so that we could allow ourselves to digest abit before we continued eating. Kiasu-ness rules.
Haha! And all the people who came after us left before us and everytime when one of us said "okay we should seriously stop eating and move on to desserts" then another person would walk past the buffet counter and grab more food.
So we finally left after 3 hours of eating. A long time after one of the waiters turned off the fire, thinking it would deter us from pursuing our pig mission. We simply just asked someone else to help us turn it on again :)
I don't think i'll be going back there again anytime soon but it was quite nice though.
Next was shopping! Woots ^^ I ended up buying only a bag from cotton on. But its damn prettae kay!
Okay now there are so many things I want/need to do!
1. Watch Mischievous Kiss
2. Watch Cruel Temptation (ya i know its outdated but i didn'y get to watch it last time!)
3. Dramafest Lighting Design T.T (this is under the 'need' category)
4. Island creamery with Carina to discuss how we are gonna address the CO, its my first time talking to the whole CO, so it would be disastrous if i fall off the podium or something.
5. Shed off all the fats i got today from eating so much tomyam chicken/ curry chicken/ spicy bulgogi chicken/ garlic chicken etc.
6. Eat lots of nice food, but this sounds contradicting to point number 5 right? o.o
7. Practice CO stuff like mad
8. Think of ways to skip tuition (lol kiddin! I'm a guaikia :)
9. Go shopping, like D.U.H.

Yesterday when I was watching this Tribute to Mrs Lee Kuan Yew on tv, they showed this video recording of MM Lee at a press conference/interview in his home. Mrs Lee, who was sitting beside (out of the camera) suddenly interrupted the interview. And guess what she did? The frail lady stood up (she even had problems standing up and had to be held onto by someone else), then she took a piece of tissue paper, went right in front of the camera, and started helping MM Lee wipe the sweat of his forehead. MM Lee smiled and said "What's that? oh its paper!" then he sighed and laughed "she is my director!"
I guess thats what they call true love <3

I feel accomplished! :) I spent the whole of today studying physics and going for physics private tuition. And it was a great help ^^ yay i love my physics teacher! She's absolutely not like TBH okay.
Yesterday tmy told me that she may have to live in australia for 2 years starting from march next year. And i totally scared her out of her wits by keeping quiet for the next 5 minutes or so after she told me. Okay i may have said that it was cus i didn't know how to answer the damn question but the truth is i was emoing. Thank you. It was just human nature.

Yesterday when i was on the bus on the way home from school,
i saw these two primary school kids (they were not related)
They were with their grandparents, who probably went to pick them up from school.
But both of them absolutely just refused to sit with their grandparents on the bus, and they just acted like their grandparents were total strangers.
Like seriously what on earth is wrong with kids nowadays??
Do they not know what a joy and blessing it is to be able to have your ahgong or ahma fetch you from school?

Okay maybe its not really their fault. One will never know the feeling of losing something till the day they really lose it. I didn't know how to tresure what i had either.

After planning out my hols schedule, i realised i will have ONE free day if i follow it closely. And that will take lots of discipline, especially when you constantly have to practice piano for 2 hours everyday and spend more than 4 hours on homework and revision without fail for 6 days.
Look at the great lengths i'm going to just to get a day off.
Just to do something (shopping, playing, hanging out with friends, pigging on icercream, resting and relaxing) that i should be doing every single day for one whole week. (as accordance to the TRUE meaning of the word HOLIDAY)
*sob* again and again.
lol i cannot imagine how many *sob*s i would have typed on this blog already by the end of EOYs.

Its been a long time since i posted, hmmms.
Life has been quite unbearable these days, everything seems to be coming all at once >.<
1. Sept 16 ~~ Piano Exam, high chance that i will screw it up
2. Sept 17 ~~ Choosing subject combinations, and i'm still not decided. Can someone give me some advice? I desperately need it D:
3. EOY next month ~~ i'm dead if i dont do well
4. CO huibao ~~ i cant believe this, we are just skipping grade 4 and 5, and going straight to grade 6 stuff?!
Just thinking about all this makes me so depressed. I'm quite sure i wont enjoy my sept hols. Neither will i enjoy my birthday.

I was walking to the Famous Amos shop after shopping when i realised that i don't have anymore money to spend! T.T so i decided to bake them myself :O don't ask me about the recipe its a secret! :DD Its not as nice as the ones you get from the shop but it tastes quite like the pre-packed ones you get in the super market.
Okay thats not the point. THe point is that i will still have my cookies :DDD

Damn it cookies are making my life so horrible. They're full of calories and sugar. Damn. And i spent practically one third of my weekly pocket money on cookies >.<
